Gemco Arts Craft and Curio Centre

About Us

Our history dates as far back as 1975. It started out as a small manufacturing business which mainly supplied the export market with semi-precious stone beads and grew into the wholesale and retail business selling African artifacts and curios to businesses and the public.

A large part of our clientele are international hunters who visit us to buy memorable gifts for their families after their hunting adventures here in Limpopo in South Africa. We are situated in Polokwane in the Limpopo province, 3 hours north of Johannesburg and 2 hours south of the nearest gate of the Kruger National Park.

Wide variety

Gemco has a shop with a large variety of authentic African artifacts and curios made by African artists of many different cultures and beliefs.

Our diverse wildlife also helps to create many appealing and memorable gifts

For the true tourist to South Africa, we provide handmade sculptures, original African artworks and curios, gold and silver with precious and semi-precious jewelry including the famous Tanzanite stones.

Gemco is a family run business

Gemco is hosted by Jenny and Bruno Tschudin, who with their friendly staff try and create a unique African experience in their shop and gallery. Gemco has had many years experience packing and exporting products via courier or freight.

Hunters, who most often are repeat tourists to South Africa because of our diverse wildlife are witness to Gemco’s friendly and excellent service. We work with all the taxidermists and hunting outfitters to export larger gallery items with their trophy shipments.

We have started an on line shop in 2020 to continue the provision of quality African products to a wider clientele.
